MoCo2: P1 and 2 pulse IN to Modbus and pulse OUT

The 'P1 port and 2x pulse to Modbus and Pulse Convertor' is a standalone module which converts the meter readings of the P1 port and 2 pulse inputs simultaneously to Modbus registers and to consumption pulses. The pulse outputs can be set to import, export, gas or water consumption pulses but also to binary outputs which switch on/off at a set power of consumption or injection.

• A home automation system, EV charger or a data logger can thus start reading import, export, gas or water consumption via Modbus RTU 9600.8N1 or via pulses. Or a domestic appliance can smartly switch on injection or consumption via a coupled power relay (PEM 01/012). Or the solid-state outputs can also be used as a smartgrid-ready contact to the heat pump or heat pump boiler.
• The MoCo2 module also has a P1 OUT to which a second P1 port application can be connected.
• The module supports both Dutch digital meters (DSMR 2.x, DSMR 4.x, DSMR 5.x) and Belgian digital meters (DSMR 5.x) and AMR meters (A1 port), as well as Scandinavian and Swiss digital meters. By default, the module is set to the Belgian DSMR 5.x meter and to pulse divider 1. Through the Windows configuration software and a USB connection to the PC, these settings can be changed, P1 data can be read, or the firmware can be updated.
• Power is supplied by the digital meter via the 'RJ11 6P/6C cross cable' provided. However, with the Dutch DSMR 4.x meter or when using the P1 output, an external 5V/1A USB power supply is required.

1. Pre-activate the Belgian digital meters to work: via this link If the digital meter screen shows a triangle above "GP" (GP is in laser marking below the screen) then ports P1 and S1 are active.

  Note: this software is only needed to adjust the default settings ( digital meter protocol, pulse divider, modbus address,...), or to update the MoCo firmware. The tool can also be used to read the P1 data ring and visualize values from the digital meter.
