After the MID certificates for the energy meter with current probes (EMM.630 CT) and the 1-module meter EMM.120 were renewed at the end of last year, now the MID certificates (B+D) for our energy meters with direct current passage (EMM.230 and EMM.630) have also been successfully renewed.
Among other things, these MID certificates are essential for exact billing of energy costs via the MEGA webserver, or for energy monitoring via the ReMI, ELAN or MEMo3 webserver.
The EMM.series modbus meters are advanced energy monitors up to 100A via direct current flow, or up to 600A and above via current coils.
Configuration of the meter is done via the touch buttons and LCD display. Bi-directional metering measures consumption, voltage, current, power, power factor, etc. on mono, 3x230V or 3x380V+N power supplies and both active and reactive powers are measured.
Reading out the consumption values can be done via the display or via the interfaced Modbus web server. The module(s) is encased in a DIN rail housing. In addition to an RS485 Modbus RTU connection, the module(s) also has 2 pulse outputs, 1 of which is configurable.
Electro Brain EB+2025
Volta organizes the annual Electro Brain sector test, which measures the competencies of final-year students in electrical engineering fields, among others. Also this year, thanks to the Excellence Fund, there was a competition viz. Electro Brain+.
The 24 best participants (12 electrical installers and 12 electrical engineers) from Flanders who participated in Electro Brain were selected for the final day on May 27, 2025 at the Botanic Garden in Meise.
The assignment for the electrical installer : To design a realistic and future-oriented household installation and explain it to a professional jury. Concepts such as: energy management systems, renewable energy technologies were the focus.
In support of this assignment, Volta and 2-WIRE organized a webinar on the use and operation of the ReMI Home Energy Manager for the 12 participating students and their teachers to give them some tips and tricks and possible solutions to add value to their presentation.
