MoCo, the latest 2WIRE module converts readings and counter readings from the digital meter in real-time to Modbus RTU registers and to consumption pulses. There are applications for different users.

  • For manufacturers, MoCo offers the ability to link the digital meter’s P1 port directly to their EMS / PLC / home automation, charging station, heat pump or battery control system.
  • HVAC installerscan pre-set either output to then plug&play, smartly switch connected devices based on consumption or injection.
  • End users can use the P1 OUT connection to connect an energy monitor such as LoWi3 or ReMI with additional outputs,… link for detailed monitoring of their energy consumption.

A few features:

  • Every few seconds P1 update
  • Modbus registers for the various P1 measured values, and calculated values for load-balancing, single-rate counters, total power, among others
  • 2 Solid state outputs:
    • as consumption pulses with adjustable weight
    • or as smart grid-ready contacts based on injection or consumption,
and with an additional power relay PEM01-012, direct consumers can be switched.
  • Default settings adjustable via USB port and free Windows tool
  • Autonomous, powered via the P1 port and without need for network connection so 100% Plug&Play at the customer’s site
  • Expandable via the P1 out connection: energy monitoring with LoWi, or ReMI with additional outputs
  • For MoCo, the SEW premium of Fluvius applies

HOME ASSISTANT coupling

We regularly receive requests to transmit data (P1, Modbus meters, pulse counters,…) from the LoWi3, ReMI and MEMo3 log channels via MQTT sensor to Home Assistant.

We have tried a few features ourselves and made them available as examples in a PDF on the MQTT Token product page.

Please note that support for development of your own Home Assistant application is not possible. As an MQTT broker, you can use one of your own or this one from 2-WIRE.

fig. Below is an example of a screen layout in Home Assistant.

MQTT licenses

Starting in 2024, MQTT Token will change from a one-time purchase to an annual license that must be ordered and activated through the 2-Wire website. For existing tokens, they must be renewed by July 2024.

At the same time, the functionality of our cloud server is further extended to include switching on dynamic rates for the ReMI module, auto backup of the LoWi/ReMI/MEGA configuration,…
