PowerFlow works like a desktop smart display, similar to Amazon Alexa or Google Nest Hub, and with lots of features. For example, you view accurate weather forecasts via TAB Weather, play videos or music in the background via TAB YouTube, ask questions with TAB ChatGPT, or plan routes via TAB Google Maps. With TAB Browser you can easily connect to your local 2-WIRE web servers or HTML_APPs such as APP LoRE, APP MEMo3, APP SmartEnergies or APP MEGA. Or you can e.g. enter the URL https://be.radioonline.fm/ to stream your favorite radio station in the background , or enter your Google slides url to turn your tablet into a personal photo frame.
In addition, the handy Ticker button lets you follow live RSS feeds such as news, weather, sports results or stock market info.

In short: PowerFlow turns any Android tablet into a personal, interactive and informative dashboard screen. To use TAB Dashboard with your own energy data, you need a 2-WIRE web server (LoWi3, ReMI or ELAN) and MQTT account; all other features are available completely free to anyone who installs the app.

Of the solar energy yield, 900kWh in April 2025, 300 kWh were injected into the grid, a self-consumption of >65% using 3 smart plugs connected to an existing electric water heater and 2 electric heaters. On an annual basis with this control (3x If Then Else), the self-consumption in this installation increased by about 35%. Until today, with 24 panels about 6500 kWh of solar energy was produced, so about 2200 kWh more self-consumption, at 40 cents easily a savings of almost 900 euros in early November 2025. And that’s without taking into account the reduced consumption of heating oil and still 2 months to go for a full year. A small investment with a nice result, year after year.
